Responsibilities:

  • Host and produce a radio program within station format.
  • Must be available for remotes and promotional appearances.
  • Knowledgeable of city and world events as they relate to the station audience.
  • Responsible for operating and producing own show.
  • Required to voice track shifts as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to prepare, produce and perform an entertaining program.
  • Perform commercial narration for production purposes as required.
  • Merge music and commercial logs each day.
  • Provide vacation relief.
  • Minimum 5-7years on air experience in radio.
  • Excellent on-air skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Superior organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively on the phone.
  • Must be a team player with a positive attitude and a sense of humour.
  • Computer literacy is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with Wave Station, Scott Studios system, Burli and Adobe Audio an asset.
  • Production skills are an asset.

EDM: Entertainment Editor


Entertainment editor responsible for writing about, and working with freelancers to arrange coverage of Edmonton's lively theatre, performing and visual arts scenes.

This is a temporary part-time position currently scheduled for three days a week.

Qualifications:

  • As an ideal candidate for this position you will be an experienced journalist, both as a writer and editor.
  • You must also be capable of working to a weekly deadline and be able to immediately build contacts in Edmonton's theatre, dance, and visual arts scenes.
  • You must also be willing to work with our talented freelance writers to ensure important events in your areas of coverage are not missed.
  • You must also understand the importance of collaboration with other editors and SEE's art department.

Qualifications:
