Entertainment editor responsible for writing about, and working with freelancers to arrange coverage of Edmonton's lively theatre, performing and visual arts scenes.
This is a temporary part-time position currently scheduled for three days a week.
Qualifications:
- As an ideal candidate for this position you will be an experienced journalist, both as a writer and editor.
- You must also be capable of working to a weekly deadline and be able to immediately build contacts in Edmonton's theatre, dance, and visual arts scenes.
- You must also be willing to work with our talented freelance writers to ensure important events in your areas of coverage are not missed.
- You must also understand the importance of collaboration with other editors and SEE's art department.
In other words, prima donnas need not apply.
A working knowledge of InDesign and Photoshop would also benefit you in this job.
