Job description | : | The objective of this process is to provide high resolution digital image (RAW) files of approximately 700 small, 3D artworks to the AFA on compact disks on a weekly basis for archival use. The incumbent will: o Have an expertise of photographing fine art in digital format. o Be shooting high-resolution 20+ MB 300 ppi RAW files with proper lighting and metering techniques. o Be renaming the RAW files to the piece’s accession number and artist’s last name (provided). Post-photography work shall include creating a similarly named TIFF file (at full resolution) and a similarly named JPEG file at a resolution of 100 ppi with a greatest dimension of 6.5 inches. These shall be provided to the AFA on DVD, CD or hard drive. o Have capacity to provide additional human resource support as required ensuring project completion within the permitted timeline. o Have the ability to work onsite at the Capital Arts Building (10708 – 105 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta) during regular AFA business hours, Monday – Friday, 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Note: As the vault is alarmed at 4:15 daily, all persons must vacate the vault by that time. o Supply own equipment including digital cameras, lights, light meters, to meet deliverables. This work is to be completed by March 30, 2012. Post photography work (reworking and renaming into tiffs and jpegs) shall continue until and be provided by May 31, 2012.
