Rogers TV St. John's is currently seeking a Talent/Producer to join its team. This individual will provide producing, researching and reporting support for Out of the Fog as well as other regular and special programming event coverage. This individual will also help support our station's volunteer program and contribute to the maintenance of Rogers TV websites.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support Rogers TV programming. This would include generating story ideas, conducting research, lining up guests/content, preparing program running orders, conducting on-location interviews for Out of the Fog as well as supporting other regular and special programming and event coverage.
- Assist Regional Manager and Supervising Producers with the recruitment, orientation, placement, training and ongoing management of volunteers.
- Assist with the programming and maintenance of St. John's, Corner Brook, Grand Falls-Windsor and Gander Rogers TV websites.
- Assist with the creative development and production of station Ids, program promos, program feedback bumpers and other on-air content as the need arises
- Produce and host other special events as required and support/complete other duties and projects as assigned by the Supervising Producer and Regional Manager.
- Ensure that programs meet identified standards and contain appropriate content
- To represent Rogers TV at various community functions and events as identified by Rogers TV
- To be knowledgeable of and adhere to all applicable health and safety regulations, both legislatively mandated and as outlined in company policy

- Journalism degree and or related training and professional broadcast experience.
- Must have strong creative writing skills with demonstrated ability to write under deadline.
- Diploma in television production and or related television technical production experience would be a definite asset - specifically in EFP shooting and avid editing.
- Must have a strong work ethic, be highly disciplined and have a wide range of interests including a strong commitment to promoting and supporting community groups and activities
- Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, superior organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work and perform to standards and function effectively on a daily deadline and in a dynamic work environment
