Toronto: Call for Native Artists
Red Runners
An exhibition open to contemporary or traditional Native artists of all disciplines
Including quillwork, beadwork, painting, sculpture/installation, new media etc.
Call for Native Artists
An exhibition that explores the accessibility of Native identity through an everyday object.
Selected artists will receive a new pair of runners, which they will re-imagine and return. The completed runners will be exhibited in a venue in downtown Toronto in June 2010.

T.O.- Music Coordinator-Radio
MUSIC COORDINATOR- JOB POSTING
CHRY is a community-based campus station. Our mandate is to provide alternative programming, such as music not generally heard on commercial stations. We also provide in-depth spoken word programming and programming targeted to specific groups within the community. We are seeking a dynamic permanent part-time Music Coordinator.
DUTIES:
i) maintain the music library (CD, LP, and Digital resources)
ii) process all incoming music
iii) prepare the weekly "Top 30" and appropriate “Top 10” charts on EARSHOT!
iv) liaising with record labels, artists, etc
v) training and coordinating volunteers
vi) reviewing the playlists of programmers
vii) Serve on the Program Review Committee and Disciplinary Action Committee
viii) Assist in the presentation of live music
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
i) Have knowledge of campus/community radio
ii) Computer knowledge: Windows OS, audio editing (Sony Soundforge, Adobe Audition, Audacity), database management (Filemaker Pro, Catraxx), Ripping software (CDex)
iii) strong knowledge of the music industry, and a diverse range of music
iv) enthusiasm/love for music
v) strong public relations skills
vi) good organizational skills
vii) ability to work in a collective atmosphere
Additional Assets:
i) Audio recording and production
ii) Live music mixing
iii) Research, journalism and interview skills
This is a permanent 20 hours per week part-time position starting at app. $15/hour.

Gypsy Theatre and Bluewater Summer Playhouse are looking for a stagemanager (CAEA) to SM the production of The MUSICAL of MUSICALS the Musical. The production opens in Niagara Falls under a guest artist contract and then moves to Bluewater with a 2 week hiatus ( unpaid) - the SM needed for Kincardine will run the show - call lighting and sound ( a lighting and sound person is supplied) - accomodation is supplied - ITA G house minimum. July 26th - Agust 15th - 3 weeks
Possibility of taking over the last 2 weeks in Niagara Falls under a guest artisit contract also available -

WPG- Out reach Coordinator- Manitoba Theatre Centre
The Manitoba Theatre Centre, Canada's oldest English language regional theatre is accepting applications for the position of Outreach Coordinator.
Each season MTC produces: 10 plays between the MTC Mainstage and MTC Warehouse theatres; the Winnipeg Fringe Theatre Festival; a Master Playwright Festival; a vibrant Theatre for Young Audiences program; and an annual Regional Tour.
MTC is seeking an Outreach Coordinator to organize and manage its outreach and student programs, and the annual provincial tour.
The successful candidate must possess superior writing skills, and excellent interpersonal, public relations and organizational skills.
Primary responsibilities include budgeting, contracting, coordinating and managing the annual provincial tour; the creation of student study guides; promotion and sale of TFYA performances to schools; and the organization, coordination and supervision of MTC's outreach programs.
Applicants should have a minimum of 3 to 5 years working in a Canadian performing arts organization.
This is a full time position with an excellent benefits package.

I am in search of the Lead for my upcoming Music Video. The Music video is of Rock Genre and the Artist is from Montreal. It depicts a Socialite who is transformed into a homeless girl by time and circumstance.
The look I am going for can be best described by a 1985 National Geographic Front Cover Gypsy Girl. Google it, as I can't add an image here, or Email me for a Picture.
